If admission is needed at Kwangdong, the patient goes up, not away. Wards and VIP rooms are on 7F, and the inpatient center is on 8F.
The VIP rooms on 7F are designed so that family can stay alongside. That matters for programs such as facial palsy inpatient care, which runs three to five days, and for recovery after surgery done at a partner hospital.
The top of the building
The cafeteria and restaurant on 9F are where people wait for tests or eat afterwards. Above it, on 10F, is the rooftop garden, a place to sit outside even after treatment is over.
None of this is unusual for a hotel. For a hospital in central Gangnam, having it all in one building is the point.
